Having a lot of hay in the barn makes such a nice background for a picture of the kids! We got 3 loads last weekend. Since Grandparent's Day is a relatively new holiday, I didn't really think about doing anything until today. So I did what grandparents seem to like best--pictures of the grandkids. Grandparents, if you're reading this blog, we love you! And you'll receive your picture soon. I ordered it with a cute border from Wal-Mart, but I did the deliver to the store instead of the one-hour. Why pay more when I'm not going to pick it up right away? With the loads of hay last week we found one baby bunny and two dead snakes. The baby bunny is named Cutie, and it's in a small dog kennel outside our basement door. Glen even bought bunny food. :)
Some of Glen's family stopped by this afternoon on their way back to Minnesota. It was fun to see them. Glen's cousin is deathly allergic to horses, cats, dogs, rabbits . . . he wasn't even going to get out at our house, but he did and seemed fine while he was here. We all just stood and talked in the front yard. I've been praying ever since they left that he won't have a reaction on the way home! It was the first time he'd been to the farm in 11 years. Needless to say, much had changed.
Glen was eating outside with the kids the other day, and he had to throw a cat off the table frequently (we have around 6-7 adult cats now). He had to go back inside for something, and this is the conversation:
Tate: Dad, it's my turn to piss the cats off now.
Glen: What?!?!
Tate: Can I piss the cats off now?
Glen: Why do you say that?
Tate: Because that's the sound you make when you want them to leave, psssss . . .
Glen: No, that's HISSSSS . . . .
