Random Week

I'm thankful that my sister and her family are safe from Hurricane Ike. They will be without power for a couple of weeks, but things could be a lot worse. I've been watching Fox News almost constantly, except during the Iowa-Iowa State game. :) Go Hawks!

Glen took the boys to see Bigfoot this week. They were so excited--they'd seen the truck last year too, and hadn't yet stopped talking about it. When they were supposed to be going to sleep that night, I heard them talking about how they wanted to be monster truck drivers when they grow up.

The overhang on our new barn came in handy for the horses today during the rain: I had to take Bob (whom it looks like we've decided to keep) to the vet this morning because I'd noticed he has worms. He also had some other parasite he's on medication for, and now he's up to date on his shots.

WOW, what a beautiful barn! When did you guys have that built? Is it by the old one you used to use for the horses?

I'm so glad you guys decided to keep Bob! He found such a good home to be adopted into! :) You are lucky that he already seems to be house broken--that's half the battle with new pets!
