Happy New Year!

This was the scene outside our house at 7:30 am Christmas morning! Glen said he heard it earlier than I did, and he estimated that it took the plow about an hour to get through the big drift that he had been stuck in.

The kids were digging holes in the drifts in the yard. They didn't quite all fit into this one, but they had fun. :)

Just after heavy fog, the trees look so pretty. It's been this way several times this winter, and I finally remembered to take pictures.

We had a nice Christmas. We went to Glen's Dad's on the 24th for pizza, games, and gifts. Saw a lot of cars in the ditch from the storm over the weekend. The kids were so excited to open presents early on the 25th, since Glen didn't have to work the night before! Everyone liked their gifts, and I was excited that out of all the clothes I bought for Glen, he only needed to return one shirt. My parents came for dinner that night. We shopped Wednesday morning and bought a new Christmas tree. Not the one we liked the best, but it's better than what we have, and it will do for a few more years. For some reason, neither of us wanted to spend $180 for a new Christmas tree, even though it was half-price. We did get new red bows for the front of the house for 75% off at Lowes, and the boys liked riding in the Jimmie Johnson cart. On Thursday I had to work, and my sister and one of my brothers arrived with their families while I was gone. The house was full of little boys (six 5 years old and under), so things were not quiet and relaxing, but we had fun! We opened presents on Friday afternoon, and my parents brought the good food for our big dinner. Mom and Dad gave us money for a Wii, so now we're on the hunt. The kids are excited. We had a great time with everyone here, but it's nice to have the house to ourselves now. Glen went snowmobiling again last night; he heard that it's supposed to be 50 and raining this weekend. We worked on thank-you cards today (which might sound good to you, but I was also writing thank-yous for my birthday in November and Tate's in December). I have to work again tomorrow, and the girls go back to school again on Monday. Back to the routine!

I've got a plethora of thank you's AND Christmas cards to still get out...so looks like we're in the same boat! Glad ya'll had a great Christmas...

I was over at a friend's house today, they got the WII for Christmas and I have to say, guitar hero and dancing with the stars is quite addicting...!
