Happy Halloween! 9 days late

I took Chase to ToysRUs on Friday afternoon. Kids in costume (that's Chase in the dragon suit) got to meet Geoffrey the Giraffe and have a little parade through the store. Then they got a Trick or Treat bag with lots of stickers and goodies. He had fun. I heard one of the moms say as we were walking through the store, "They're letting them parade through the store so that they can tell us everything they want us to buy for Christmas." I know stores have ulterior motives for doing stuff like that, but Chase had fun. He also had some birthday money to spend, so we had shopped earlier in the day. It's a little difficult to get a four-year-old to understand he only has $7 to spend. He chose a Spiderman flashlight. Sammy had basketball practice, so we couldn't leave for trick-or-treating until after 6:00. We drove to several neighbors and then headed into Walker where we met some friends to walk around with. The kids had fun and got lots of candy! Some of our friends from church had their porch decorated with some scary stuff--black lights, etc and people in white costumes who looked spooky. They boys weren't too scared because we told them they were people we knew, but Chase calmly asked, "Can we go now? I'm getting a little scared."
It was nice that it was on a Friday night. In case you're a little confused, Tate wore the dragon costume that Chase wore to ToysRUs. Tate had worn the fireman costume to school since they had a field trip to the fire station. The boys switched after school. I was relieved at the end of the night that Tate didn't have an accident in the dragon suit since it's not machine-washable. :)
We got Britta and Sammy's wigs at Jo-Ann fabrics on Wednesday after their orthodontist appointments. I was excited that they had them on sale (60% off) two days BEFORE Halloween! They had a lot of fun with them; I figured they'd be ruined before they ever got to trick or treat.
