Horse Show

Cono's first-ever Equestrian team had their horse show at our farm on October 25. It was a beautiful day, not too hot or cold and not very windy. The winds the next day were horrible--I was so thankful for the nice weather!
Sammy and Tate were in the Lead Line class. Sammy got first, and Tate got second! They were excited to receive their ribbons. Some of the girls' parents traveled to see the horse show, and quite a few students were able to come with their dorm parents. Some of the board members came over after their meeting was over too. There was quite a crowd watching, which I think the girls appreciated. Everyone was impressed with what they were able to do.

I was watching Braxtyn that day, and she babysat herself for at least 20 minutes picking and eating raspberries. :) Britta was in the Canter 1 group. She did well! There were three girls competing in three classes, and she got a third then two firsts, so she was the Grand Champion of her class and got a a special ribbon.
We served hot cider and cookies in the new barn after the show was over. It was interesting trying to keep the cats off of the table, but they only ate a few brownies. :) They were so cute sleeping in the window; I had to take a picture.

Great pictures and updates Mindy. Thanks!! I remember an afternoon enjoying those raspberries too - makes my mouth water just to think of their sweetness....Congrats to all on their achievements!
Love, Mom

I don't want to take too much credit; Glen helped two nights every week, and I was just there. :)
