Awana Awards night

Awana awards night was the same day the kids got out of school. All of my "regular" Sparks were able to be there. It's a small group, but since it was my first year as a leader, I was glad to ease into it. All but two of them finished their books! We sang the books of the New Testament song from "Deliberate Kids" by Phil Joel. Thanks Kristy for recommending it! Britta and Sammy also finished their books and received special awards for finishing all of the extra-credit sections. In their books, they learn 8 answers to each of 4 questions about God, the Bible, and other doctrinal topics. For one of Sammy's extra-credit sections, she had to recite all 8 answers to each of the questions, along with a backup verse for each, in one sitting. She did it! (That's 32 answers/verses). She worked very hard the last 7-8 weeks to finish everything, especially the last week when she was studying for the 32-verse section. I am so proud of her!
