My Nibbles

Chase has a few mysterious spots on his chest, stomach, and back. When I first noticed them the other night, gasped, and asked him what they were, he replied, "My nibbles!"

We have been enjoying fresh garden produce. I have baked zucchini bread each of the past two nights, and my menu for this week includes Zucchini Red Pepper Lasagna, Zucchini Crust Pizza, and Chicken Pizza Packets (which also include zucchini). Tonight I'm planning to bake a Chocolate Zucchini Cake Roll. I'm going to make pickles either tomorrow or Wednesday. I think I need a few more cucumbers for the batch.

The boys, Sammy and I went to Independence today to get Tate's glasses fixed, go to the library, and buy a few more groceries for the week. While we were gone, Britta and Glen went to the neighbor's. They have baby pigs, and Britta picked one up. Guess what it did! Yes, on her cast. :) When I got home, she was complaining to me about the smell (Glen had sprayed Febreeze) and she was worried that her cast had gotten too wet. I couldn't smell anything, but I didn't get too close! Later, when she complained again, I looked at her a little closer and asked her what the brown stuff was on her shirt! She said the smell was better after she changed, but we still have to go to the doctor's to have them look at the cast and determine whether or not she needs a new one. She is supposed to get a new (shorter) one next week anyway, but not until Wednesday.
