The girls were in 4H this year for the first time. They posed in front of their club's booth. Britta got blue ribbons for all of her projects. Sammy didn't get all blues, but she did get a junior purple ribbon for her visual arts project. That means that if she were old enough, it would have been considered for state fair! I had grand plans to have the girls complete all of their projects in the first two weeks after school was out. We finished everything in the last week before the fair.

Sammy's project was called a candid cameo--she painted a silhouette of herself swinging on a tire swing. I found the idea in a Good Housekeeping magazine.

The kids got to participate in the All American Lumberjack Show's Kids Camp where they got to try log rolling--the girls didn't even stay standing long enough for me to get a picture.

I was a little quicker with Tate. The baby on the end was being held up by her mother.

Chase and Sammy didn't make a lot of progress on this log with the cross-cut saw.
