I used to do laundry every day. One load, fold it, put it away, up to date. Done. I've gotten away from this in the last year. For a while, it was every other day, or almost every day that I didn't work (I only go to work two days a week). Now, it seems that I do laundry about twice a week, and it might sit a day or two before it gets folded.
I am doing laundry tonight. I last did it on Sunday before the girls went to camp. I did three loads that day; the girls' clothes were first. I folded them so that they'd have those clothes to choose from as they packed for camp. I took the second load out of the dryer, and it's been sitting on the table in the breakfast room ever since. I left the third load in the dryer until I decided to fold them. Which was tonight. There were several instances today as I walked through the laundry room when I noticed a whiff of something musty. I thought it must be the dirty laundry (which is kept inside a cabinet), as Glen likes to throw wet clothes right on the pile instead of letting it dry on the floor outside the cabinet first. I never really investigated, because my intention was to DO the laundry today. I washed the first load, and when I went to put it into the dryer, I was hit with more than a whiff of musty smell. The clothes in the dryer were not dry! They had been sitting, wet, in the dryer. Since Sunday. I remembered that Tate had put the last load of wet clothes into the dryer for me. He likes to help with the laundry, but he complained about it this time. I didn't tell him to turn the dryer ON. He doesn't even know how. Needless to say, that load is back in the washer right now. I need to go back to laundry every day.

ahhh mine usually get left in the washer only to find them the next time I was. I only wash once a wk but I only have 2 small children with small clothes!
At least they weren't moldy. I love when you finally update your blog!
at the moment, I can't see my laundry room floor...not because this is NORMAL by any means but everything else has come 1st..and I figure we all have enough underware to last for at least another week or two, until I can finish unpacking all the boxes, ha!
I figured this out a long time ago that it took more time and work to do laundry everyday. When one has to fold and take to all the rooms the small amount of clothes for a batch or two, why not wait until it really piles up and then you can do it all in one day and take basket fulls to all the rooms. Makes sense to me. I love not being a slave to my laundry!! Liz
