I've been tagged by Dawn to post daily until Christmas about our holiday preparations. OK, it was two days ago, but we haven't had internet since Wednesday due to the ice storm. Amazing how much time it can eat up!
Today I haven't made any holiday preparations--Tate's 5th birthday is tomorrow! We are having the family over tomorrow afternoon after church, and he is SO EXCITED!
This morning we all cleaned the basement together. The kids were excited that they could just throw everything into the toy closet, but Monday it's all coming back out, and we are going to sort/organize/purge before Christmas! Anyway, I've been cleaning, cooking, wrapping gifts, etc.
We all went over to Cono this afternoon to sled on Mount Cono. It is steep! (and icy--Glen and I both had to step carefully at the top so we didn't slip and fall). Sammy did hit a small tree, and I thought we were headed to the ER again, but she was fine. She turned her head at the last second, so she actually hit the tree with her shoulder. Glen told her next time, just roll off the sled. :)
As for my holiday preparations so far--I have completed some gift projects that I can't discuss because certain people read this blog. I have also created our Christmas card/picture using Storybook Creator Plus--so fun! I'll post it later--it has to go into the mail first. My Christmas letter is written, copied, and folded, and most of the envelopes are addressed. I've even collected updated addresses from a lot of people, but then I decided I haven't actually MADE cards for a few years, and since I'm ready so much earlier than usual . . . so I'm making cards too.
The girls are on Christmas break, so I'm sure we'll come up with more projects and decorations. More tomorrow!
